Who is the Photographer?

Peter Hartlove has been a free-lance nature photographer for over 25 years.

Where are the photographs taken?

Hartlove started his photographic journey capturing Rocky Mountain wildflowers and has diversified to landscapes (including the Colorado Plateau, The Redwoods, Washington and the Alsek River in the Yukon), wildflowers from many locations, underwater photography (encompassing the creatures and scenes of the Pacific, Caribbean and Humpback Whales) and he has become enamored with wildlife (including Bald Eagles, Alaskan Brown Bears, birds of North America, Galapagos Islands). He treasures the Natural Earth and attempts to capture the beauty and awe.

How are the photographs made?

Although staying with transparencies longer than most, Hartlove has fully converted to digital capture and is even creating his own archival prints and cards.  His equipment includes Nikon D3S and  D300 bodies and many lenses including the Nikkor 600, 200-400, 200 Macro, 12-24 zoom and 70-300 zoom.
